We are sad to share the news that our member Roland Treiber passed away on April 14. We last saw Roland on January 25th when he visited our weekly meeting along with his wife Barb, daughter Katie, and grandson Steve. What a blessing to have Roland and his family join us that morning.
Roland joined the Rotary Club of Batavia on November 1, 1987. At 35 years and 5 months, he was the third longest serving member of our club and the fourth longest serving Rotarian in our club. Roland served as Sergeant-at-Arms for quite a few years and is the author of the Member Induction ceremony we currently use.
We will miss Roland’s smile, his sense of humor, his love of Batavia, his commitment to Service Above Self, and most of all … his friendship.
