Jay Curtis of the Fox Valley Christian Center provided a brief overview of the programs offered through his organization. He accepted our check for $1,50 and thanked the Batavia Rotary for sponsoring three scholarships for underprivileged youths to attend a 5-day Residential Camp Program (M-F). In Kane county, there are more than 60,000 people living below the federal poverty level. This camp affords children and teens of all socioeconomic backgrounds the opportunity to develop critical leadership skills in a secure and supportive environment.
