Stacey Peterson, Adult Services Manager at the Batavia Library provided a presentation on Genealogy and Family History. The most important message – “Talk to your family!”. After that, “Be prepared to ruin some shoes walking around through cemeteries”. Stacey shared wonderful photos that she was able to collect from family members. She also included a photo of the shoes she ruined while trudging through cemeteries!

The Batavia Library has several resources to assist you in your own search – including a subscription to Ancestry.com. That particular resource is only available to card holders located within the walls of the library.
