Batavia Rotary Club and Shelter Box

Rotary Club of Batavia has donated eleven (11) boxes, and participated in the donation of a twelfth (12th) box, as follows:
 
  • USA/3578–3580, deployed to Karachi, Pakistan, on 3 July 2007 (donated on 2 May 2007) to aid Cyclone Yemyin victims around the Sindh and Balochistan provinces

  • USA/4414, deployed to Chengdu, China, on 21 May 2008 (donated on 7 May 2008) to assist those made homeless by the earthquakes

  • USA/5385–5386, deployed to Quetta, Pakistan, on 7 November 2008 (donated on 28 October 2008) to accommodate those affected by the earthquake in the area

  • USA/6615, deployed to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on 22 January 2010 (donated on 24 November 2009) to aid those made homeless by the earthquake in the area

  • USA/9264–9265, deployed to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on 24 April 2010 (donated on 6 April 2010) to aid those made homeless by the earthquake in the area

  • USA/15932, deployed to Colombia on 17 May 2011 (donated on 20 November 2010) to assist those affected by the widespread flooding

  • USA/17705, deployed to Kenya on 17 October 2011 (donated on 28 March 2011) to assist those affected by the drought and famine

  • USA/17839, deployed to Thailand on 22 October 2011 (donated on 3 March 2011) to assist those affected by flooding—Note: Batavia partnered with the Rotary Clubs of St. Charles Breakfast and Geneva in 2011 to contribute funds for a ShelterBox in the name of the Tri-City Rotary Clubs.
