Dr. Alex Tsang

Dr. Alexandra Tsang earned her Doctorate of Psychology in 2000 from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and has been employed at (KCDC) since 1999. In her 16 years of forensic psychology work, she has conducted fitness to stand trial assessments, sanity evaluations, custody evaluations, Miranda Warnings, sex offender evaluations, sexually violent predator evaluations and violence risk assessments. She has facilitated establishing programs for juveniles in detention and trains court services personnel on several topics.  She also assists the Sherriff’s Office in conducting fitness for duty evaluations and pre-employment screenings. She had previously worked with abused and neglected children, inpatient psychiatric clients and had her own private practice. Her areas of interest include violence risk, female offenders, and trauma-informed care.
